A Night of Dancing

Recently we put on our dancing shoes at Habitat for Hope and celebrated KaLeigh’s high school graduation.  KaLeigh’s family is currently staying in one of our apartments.  Over the past few weeks we have enjoyed getting to know she and her family.  When we found out KaLeigh was graduating from high school while her brother was going to be inpatient at the hospital, we asked her if we could plan a little party.  Her request was simple, she wanted to dance on the deck under the lights at Habitat for Hope.  Her enthusiasm was contagious!!

Well, dance she did and it was a JOY to watch her and everyone having such a lovely evening.  She even taught us all how to two step and do the Virginia Reel.  At the end of the night the big question from everyone was “When are we going to have another dance party?”

A big thanks to our volunteers John, DJ extraordinaire, Frances, the talented cake designer, and Jennifer who make everything look so beautiful as well as the multitude of others who helped behind the scenes to make this event a truly delightful evening.

Congratulations KaLeigh!!  Please pray for KaLeigh’s brother, Luke as he continues the recovery process post-transplant!!
